I would say “Germany is a reality of your Data Science dreams”

It’s been only 2.5 months since I moved to Deutschland, with a lot of hopes in becoming a Data Scientist. I was working as a Systems’ administrator for last 3.5 years and have seen applications which process heavy loads of data. Then I realised that, Data is the heart of any organisation which is making good amount of money.

DKE (Data and Knowledge Engineering) in Magdeburg university (Check out here) is well known for its practical implementations and learning paradigms.

Why Data Science?

‘Data’ is a common word that you hear almost every day in every sector. Let it be daily news or share market, everywhere you need data. This is my primary motivation for moving to Germany to pursue Master degree in Data Science.

Semester 1

I took Data Mining course this semester and started learning Classification, Regression, Clustering. In few months, I will also be done with Association. Oh by the way, these are very important basics for people who are interested in Data Science.

ABA is another course that I took this time. ABA stands for Advanced Business Analytics which talks about the real time scenarios. It includes KNIME tool learning which is widely used tool for data processing and data model development.

Rest of the courses are also equally important, yet I have made my mind to focus on core of Data Science.

Our lives are already data driven. It’s time for us to understand, analyse and utilise the same data to lead a happy and fruitful life.
